Trench warfarefare was not as exciting as some soldiers had wished for with daily r extinctines being all too similar.    When WW1   broke out  numerous British men signed up for adventure and exciting new experiences. They thought this because of the British  enlist poster which showed men on horses using guns, which looked fun from  phallic persons point of view. However, when they got to the front lines they found that war was not always exciting and filled with adventures.   The daily routines in the  impingees were at times very boring for soldiers who had signed up to  press the enemy and protect Britain. Soldiers would usually catch up on sleep as they hardly got any, write letter to love ones, or even creating ornaments from used shell and  green goddess casings. In the evening the soldiers did the second stand to where they were sent to the fire  step or to find crucial food, water and  certificate appliances.  Conditions in the trenches would also have been completely unexpected for many soldiers as they would of had to go through situa   tions such as trench foot.
